Lance and I worked everything out. We're not going to get married...but we're still dating. He's a sweety and I love him.
I went over to his place a couple nights ago, and we thought it would
be cool to bleach our hair...so we did. His is yellow/brown/white and
mine was orange/yellow. I took a pic, but it looks normal in the pic.
Anyhow...this was embarrassing, so I went and bought auburn dye and
fixed my hair, so now it's reddish/brown. Cuteness! Lance is leaving
his how it was. Lol...he's a nut.
I got a job yesterday! It's at a place called DataWise in South
Jordan. I'm making $10 an hour...woot woot! I'm pretty darn excited. I
start this Friday for training, then Monday morning. What a relief!
For a while there I thought I wasn't going to be able to make my car
payments, but now I know I'll be just dandy.

Love and Marriage

Lance asked me to elope yesterday. The thought actually scared me and I got a really bad feeling thinking about it. So we got in this whole discussion about how our relationship is at the point where we either need to start planning to get married or break up. If we don't plan on getting married our relationship is not going anywhere and is pointless and a waste of time. Lance wants to marry me very much, but I don't want to marry him. The thought scares me. I can't see myself with only him from now until forever. Maybe in 4 years...but right now? I need to still play!
Lance's conclusion was that we are going to be apart for a couple of days. We aren't going to talk to each other or see each other. With that time apart I'm going to think about exactly how I feel about it, and whether I really want to marry him or be with him or not. I asked him, "What if it backfires? And I'm happier without you?" And Lance said, "Then I'm not the one." So really...this could be the end of it. I'm scared.
I love Lance, I really do...we have been together for 4 years! Granted we did take a 6 month break in there. I guess we will see how things turn out.

My job has been really crazy lately. They just "layed off" 3 girls. After this happened I was thinking "Hey maybe I'll get more hours." A week went by, and I heard nothing...
Tuesday, August 8, 2006 - I marched up to Ariela's desk and asked her for more hours. She told me she couldn't do that right now. I kindly pointed out that we had 3 less employess. Ariela said that because the sales reps aren't making as many sales that they needed to cut back on employees' and hours. I asked her what was going to be happening after the Summer. Ariela said she didn't know. I then gave Ariela a firm look and said, "Ariela, I need to know with at least 3 weeks notice if they are going to lay me off or not because I need to be able to make my car payments!" Ariela said, "I understand, and I will get back to you."
Get back to me? What is that supposed to mean?
Yesterday, Ariela told me that they are going to lay me off in about 2 weeks. A little over 2 weeks, actually. When she said that, I was ready to walk out right there. I would have, but I need the money. I'm more angry than anything else. What kind of company hires a bunch of people for the summer and then lays them off in the fall without mentioning that it was a "temporary" position.
It's ok though. I'm really only bitter because I love the sales reps. They make my job so much fun. I already found another job that I'm 90% sure I'll get. It's up in Sandy, doing data entry, much like what I do at DishOne. But...this new job will pay me $11 an hour, rather than $7.50 like the cheapos I work for now.

Alright, well... I read my journal last night. I hadn't written in it since January. I decided that I need to start writing again...even if I don't write much.
Summer has been great so far! I'm just working and playing. I really like my job at DishOne Satellite...even though it is slow and they just cut my hours. Nevertheless, it's still fun and the people I work with make it exciting...or interesting. I just bought a car on Thursday. It's a blac, 1999, Volkswagen New Jetta GL. Only had 59k miles and I bought it for $7,000. Steal of a deal if you ask me! I'm irresistably sexy now.
I went to the Warped Tour back in July...totally awesome. There were so many good bands there, but it was so hot that I couldn't see them all. I eneded up seeing The Trademark (support your local bands!!!), Armor for Sleep, Rise Against, 30 Seconds to Mars, Motion City Soundtrack, and Senses Fail.
