Seesters!

I love my sisters.  I really do.

I feel like I wasn't the greatest big sister when we all lived at home.  Or little sister to, to Eric.  I was just that sibling that wasn't ever around, that never wanted to be around, and who cared about no one but herself.

I'm sorry.

Saying I'm sorry doesn't really fix anything.  It doesn't change how I acted, or how I treated anyone, and I can only move forward and try to make future interactions positive ones.  Which I am trying to do.  I still mess up.  I still say mean things sometimes. I'm still selfish sometimes (ok, most of the time). I'm not perfect.

I'm extremely grateful for the chance I got to be a real big sister to Emilee and Jessica when my family moved in with them in 2013.  They both told me they never really knew me before we lived with them.  Hearing that was a wake up call.

Family is the most important thing in the world.

I'm so happy that Emilee decided to come stay with us for the summer.  She is a lifesaver!  She gets up early in the morning with Lily, so I can stay asleep after getting off work at 3, or 4, or 5am, and Lance can go to bed when he comes home from work at 9am.

She does dishes.

She does laundry.

Unfortunately, I am really OCD about laundry.  I hardly ever do it, because I'm very particular, and it's a pain in the butt.  Things need to be sorted just so, and I have to get EVERYTHING that is not in its proper place, and either fold it and put it away, or wash it, then fold it and put it away.  So, I hope I didn't hurt her feelings when she tried to help with the laundry.  I appreciate the help. Absolutely!

Lily LOVES having Emilee here.  It's going to be a sad day when she leaves.

We're trying to convince her to stay until her wedding in December.

School, schmool.

I mean, school is important, but... family!!

So, what have we been up to?

Emilee took this photo, but I just had to get my hands on her face and do her makeup. She chose her own lipstick, and I must say she can definitely rock a bold lip.

We tried putting a bandana on Lily, but she kept taking it off.  It looked so cute though! I wish she would have sat still for 2 seconds for these pictures!

We went to the Lakefront Park July 4th celebration to watch fireworks. We had to leave early, but it was nice to get out of the house.

Emilee watched Lily overnight so Lance and I could have our first ever night away. We stayed at the Port Orleans hotel, went to Hollywood Studios for rides and dinner, and then went to see Jurassic World. It was a great time!

We got a free cupcake at dinner since we were wearing anniversary buttons. We ate at Mamma Melrose's, which is an Italian restaurant at Hollywood Studios.

And then this happened.  So I tweeted it to my favorite makeup artist... and well....

Now I'm famous.  Just kidding. Not even close, but it was really neat!

The next day we snuck Emilee into Magic Kingdom.

Lily's first time on Big Thunder Mountain!

We haven't spent an entire day at a Disney park in a very long time. It's a big day for a little girl!!

PS: We didn't really sneak Emilee in. Come visit us and we'll share with you what we can.

Yes, this is an advertisement.

Lily was so cute in her dance class! She did great at her exercises.  Still not sure if she really likes it or not. I have decided NOT to sign her up for the school year.  We will just be (hopefully) doing preschool, if I can ever get my bum over to sign her up.

I bought frozen waffles, and Emilee made us blueberry syrup.  They are delicious together!

Daddy took Lily to Chuck E Cheese for their date.  Lily was so excited! (I think Dad was too.)

Check out my eyelids!  Have I ever told you that I am allergic to pink/red eyeshadow?  I haven't had a reaction this bad in at least a year!  So this was surprising.  It was burning so bad, I had to wash my makeup off, and my lids were so swollen it was nuts.

Yes I still wear eyeshadows in colors I'm allergic too. Because they're pretty.
